Do you know what is growing in your fridge?

Thank goodness I took care of that today!  I'm not sure how long it had been since attending to my fridge but disgusting was an understatement. Disgust! !!!! Who lives like this?  Oh yeah, me.    Bringing the soapy water and scrubbers to the mess.  Tempting Ahhhh, much better! :) Waiting for hubby to come with the rest of the groceries.  Ready to tackle the 40 hr. work week.  Let's do this! Tuesday I have a date with the freezer.

Little dots, who knew?

My new favorite blog is  Kindergarten Crayons .  Because of Fran, my 3 year old picked up this book (sort of, I was too excited to make the book) and read.  (I was also too excited to put pants on her.)  Her is a video of J reading!

Now all I need is a follower, will you be the first?

I may keep this up if I get followers.  My ultimate goal is to make this a teacher/parent friendly blog with practical tips in connecting the home/school connection.  I want to link up to the my classroom parents but I'm not ready for that yet.  I still have some learning to do.  If you are a teacher follow me and lead your parents to my site.  I'll even post a tried a true video of my 3 year old reading her first book after  Fran  posted her latest easy reader with the dots to follow! If you are a parent, let me know what advice you want from a teacher!

And there you have it--a signature.

Impressed?  I am!

Back to School & Balancing it all

Here I am, back to school time.  This week I started working 4 half days (Jump Start K program) and made my annual back to school resolutions.  Here they are: Every day I will: Eat well-keep track of WW points Exercise 4 hrs. per week Drink 64 oz. of water Vaccuum and pick up a room, do a load of laundry Cook a meal Accomplish one thing on my ongoing to do list, one thing on my fun list Shut off the computer and read at night Here is a rundown of how I did working a measly 12 hrs. this week. Monday-  Did it all, I didn't work. Tuesday-  Roomba battery died, I decided to skip picking up and laundry. Wednesday- I managed to eat well, exercise, and cook. Thursday-  I was exhausted and skipped it all. Friday-  Not only did I skip it all but I said phooey on the WW points and sent husband out for chocolate. All this and I only worked 12 hrs.  Next week I have to teach Jump Start in the morning AND put my classroom together. I'm hoping my Roomba battery comes soon.

Things that make my life easier.

I couldn't live without my  Thirty-one  wristlet wallet!  I can attach my keys to it, put it on my wrist and go!  That way I have my arms free for kids and whatever else I may need.  I wish I would've bought another color other than white though.  This one does match my beach bag however. Thirty-one

It's Wednesday. Do you know where your preschooler's shoes are?

My youngest does not like shoes.  Once we were at the park and I asked her where her shoes were and she said "I not tell you." (she was one)  Whenever we need to leave in a hurry they go missing.  Most of the time we can find them in the van because she ditches them the minute she gets in.  I feel like I have done my job as a mom if I have put the shoes on her once in the morning, after that it is good luck feet! Attempt to solve the problem:  I have put an emergency pair in my closet for those hurried out the door moments.  I have also put a medium bin under her car seat to catch the shoes and other misc. that may fall during the van ride.  We shall see........
