A month in the life (February 2013)

. Whew!! We accomplished a lot in the month of February. We worked on our house every spare minute of the day. Feb. 1-  Drove 40 miles to pick up this desk I found off the local swap site.  This is for M's craft room, walk in closet.  I am so excited to have the mess contained!  Feb. 2-  M's room was pained in January. Benjamin Moore, Fairytale Blue.  Egress window trim being finished. Feb. 3- Groundwork being laid for extra outlets. Feb. 4- Oh no!  Both girls have influenza!  With the flu shot though it was pretty mild.  This teacher took advantage of the sick days to catch up on laundry! Calling all work outside of the home moms!

Hey, Are you a mom that works outside the home?  Every mom has challenges.  I know the challenges of both because I am a SAHM in the summer and I work a gazillion hours the rest of the year.  Every time I think I have found balance teaching and home my hopes and dreams come crashing down and reality sets in.  My blogs address how to balance your family life when you are a SAHM but WOHM and WAHMs have time challenges and work/personal challenges that are not often addressed. Right now I am struggling to find time to work on decluttering, organizing, laundry as well as my remodel project. Also I am looking f...

New Year's Resolutions 2013 (and how did I do in 2012?)

So first of all, let's recap on my New Year's Resolutions from 2012.  They were: Delcutter my house Lose weight (40-50 pounds) Start my Teachers Pay Teachers store My declutter plan is posted  here . My weight loss plan came from this book  So I DID spend the WHOLE ENTIRE year decluttering and came a long way BUT I am not done.  I've come about halfway.  My goal is to take less than the 3 years Nony wrote about in her book that I am an affiliate for her Drowning in Clutter book that I highly recommend! Click here to view more details .  I did lose 10 lbs. following this Game On diet book but I promptly put them back on + another 10 lbs. to achieve my highest weight ever. *face palm* I did start my Teachers Pay Teachers Store.   What a community!  That site is amazing! So now onto my New Year's Resolutions 2013!  Continue decluttering and attempting to organize my house using advice from my affiliate links starting wi...
